Travel UPDATE
Participants are expected to make their own stay arrangements. The VDAT 2009 committee can offer some limited accommodation on a paid-basis to Fellowship recipients at a few college hostels/guest-houses. We may also be able to offer accommodation to all participants on a paid-basis at a college hostel. Please see the details below.
Faculty and students
The VDAT 2009 committee can offer limited accommodation on a paid-basis on a first-come-first-served basis to faculty members and students at a few college hostels/guest-houses.
Faculty members can be accommodated at the Hoysala guesthouse
Indian Institute of Science, (IISc) Bangalore 560 012.
Male Fellow Students can be accommodated at the
R.V. College of Engineering Boys Hostels, (R. V. College Campus, Mysore Road) Bangalore
Female Fellow Students can be accommodated at the
R.V. College of Engineering Girls Hostels
#23, 15th Cross, Jayanagar 3rd Block, Bangalore-560 011
Faculty and students may also opt for PESSE Hostels (PES School of Engineering Campus on Hosur Road). Please see the details under All Participants below.
Accommodation & mess charges should to be paid directly to the hostels authorities. The registration fee does not include accommodation charges.
Please follow the hostel rules, and clear all dues before leaving.
Participants need to make their own arrangement to reach the hostel.

Faculty members and students interested in availing should send their full details by mail to vdat@vlsi-india.org in the below format. Please use VDAT2009 accommodation in the subject line.
Paper ID (if an author), Title & Name, Designation (faculty or student), Department, Organization, Personal address-City-Pincode & State, email, Telephone no., start date and end date of your stay with aprox. arrival and departure time.
The organizers will confirm the availability of accommodation.

All participants
Accommodation is also available at the PESSE Hostels (PES School of Engineering Campus on Hosur Road), on a paid basis for the VDAT participants. The Boys hostel is located on the PESSE campus, and the girls hostel is closeby to the campus (about 1km). The campus is situated close to the Conference venue on Electronic city.
You may identify the location on Google maps.
The room rent per person would be Rs.500/- per night on a triple-sharing basis. Participants may also choose to book single room instead of sharing for Rs. 1500/-, or twin-sharing for Rs.750/- per person. The charges include pick-up and drop from/to the Conference Venue. The hostel offers food facility in the night, at an additional cost.
The institution can accommodate both the industry and academy participants.

Travel
Participants are requested to make their own arrangement to reach the VDAT venue and back. Volvo busses ply from different parts of Bangalore city from/to Electronic City.

Big10 busses operate from St.Patrick Complex, Brigade Road from 7.30 AM onwards to Electronic city at frequent intervals at a nominal fare.
